A Winterfest Safari


The annual Stroudsburg, PA Winterfest was held on Saturday February 13th and featured ice sculptures of animals one would see upon a safari like lions, cheetahs, and bears along with ninja turtles, moose, and squirrel. Photography by Paparazzi Paul

The Pocono Cinema and Cultural Center in East Stroudsburg, PA will present their “Winter Wonderland” Exhibition until March.


The Pocono Arts Council invites Artists to participate in their Earth Speaks VI Exhibition that will take place in the Dunning Art Gallery at Northampton Community College, Monroe Campus in Tannersville, PA from April 19th to May 28th. The Artists’ Reception will take place on Saturday April 24th. The deadline for submissions is Friday March 5th. 


The Centenary Stage Company in Hackettstown, NJ will present their world premiere production of “Turning!” in the Lackland Center for the Arts until March 7th

The Scranton Fringe is seeking performing artists and creative groups with a keen eye to visual aesthetics, strong performances, and an openness to a collaborative process to participate in their Fringe Under Glass Program which is an innovative audience walking tour of live performing arts staged behind the windows of various storefronts throughout the city of Scranton, PA. The performances will be  from Thursday September 23rd until Sunday September 26th. Applications will go live on Friday March 5th and will close on Friday April 9th.


The Banana Factory Art Center in Bethlehem, PA invites artists to participate in their Compendium: Playlist Exhibition. The Deadline to submit is March 21st. The Exhibition will be presented from May 1st until July 11th. 


Monday March 1st

The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present Coffee with Kirkridge beginning at 10:30am offering a time in community sharing and learning from one another. 


Wednesday March 3rd

The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present Braving the Wilderness: A Circle of Trust mini-Retreat beginning at 5pm offering an opportunity to still the noise of both the outer and your inner worlds led by Elaine Sullivan And Martha Timberlake. 


Friday March 5th

The AFA Gallery in Scranton, PA will hold an Artists’ Reception beginning at 6pm for their Grounded Exhibition featuring nearly a dozen Northeast PA artists ranging across the mediums of woodworking, marble, ceramics, and iron. The exhibition will continue to be on display until March 27th.


Saturday March 6th

The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present Wayfinding: A Courage and Renewal Experience beginning at 9am offering an opportunity to renew our capacity for greater courage in an inclusive, safe, and disciplined space of solitude in community.


Thursday March 18th

The Pocono Cinema and Cultural Center in East Stroudsburg, PA will present the film “Just Mercy” beginning at 6:30pm as part of their community film series sponsored by the Rotary Club of the Stroudsburgs. A discussion of the film will be hosted via zoom by Dr. Sandra Eckard of East Stroudsburg University on Sunday March 21st beginning at 6pm.


Friday March 19th

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present The Hot Takes Trio at 6pm and 8pm.


Saturday March 20th

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present The Lew Tabackin Trio at 6pm and 8pm.


The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present New Beginnings: A Celebration of the Spring Equinox beginning at 10am offering an opportunity to share wisdom balancing the dark and the light, the letting go of the old and welcoming the new, and breathing in life while shaking off the winter. This program is co-sponsored by Kirkridge and Columcille and supported by Audubon and Environmental Stewardship Fund by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. 


The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present The Who that Teaches mini-retreat beginning at 11am offering support for teachers and the many others serving in that role during this pandemic led by Sandie Merriam and Diane Petteway.


Sunday March 21st

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present Nancy Reed beginning at 5pm.


Wednesday March 24th

The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present Coddiwomple in Story and Song beginning at 7pm offering an opportunity to travel in a purposeful manner with music and story towards nowhere in particular while seeking laughter and comfort in community led by Diane Petteway and Jim Sims.


Friday March 26th

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present The 3D Trio at 6pm and 8pm. 


The 4th Annual New Delhi Film Festival will hold an Opening Ceremony in The India International Centre at New Delhi, India with an Awards Ceremony on the final day of the festival on March 28th.


Saturday, March 27th

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present Nancy and Spencer Reed at 6pm and 8pm.


Sunday March 28th

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA will present Walt Bibinger beginning at 5pm. 


The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present a Book Discussion: Sustaining Spirit by Naomi Ortiz beginning at 7pm offering a wonderful deep dive into disability justice along with self and community care.


Wednesday March 31st

The Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center in Bangor, PA will present Coffee their Circle of Trust mini-retreat: The Work of Grief beginning at 5pm led by Elaine Sullivan and Jean Richardson.
